It starts with weight, not the look
Most extension work that goes wrong goes wrong for one reason — too much weight on hair that couldn't carry it. The bonds pull, the hair thins where it's attached, and it doesn't announce itself at the appointment. It shows up eight weeks later.
So the first thing worked out here isn't length or colour. It's how much your hair can hold, and which method delivers that weight most safely. Tape-ins, beaded wefts and keratin bonds all distribute load differently.
That's the whole job. Everything else is finishing.

Extensions — shoulder-length to mid-back.

What it costs
$900 – $2,500+
Most full-head installs in Toronto
Volume & partial
$900 – $1,300
Fullness through the mid-lengths, or filling one area.
Full head
$1,300 – $1,900
The most common install. Length and density together.
Transformational
$1,900 – $2,500+
A significant change in length, density or both.
What moves the number: the method, your length and density, the quality of hair chosen, and how many rows or bonds it takes to get there.
You'll have an exact figure before you commit to anything. Booking takes a deposit — your hair is ordered specifically for you, in your length and your shade, which is why that part isn't refundable once it's on its way.
Fine and thinning hair
Told extensions aren't an option for you?
Often they are. A large part of my week is postpartum shedding, menopause thinning, and medical hair loss — including clients who were turned away somewhere else.
It comes back to weight. Fine hair can carry extensions; it just can't carry the same load as a dense head, and it needs a method chosen accordingly. Being told no usually means the person saying it only fits one way.
Colour, toning and smoothing
Extensions are most of what happens here, but not all of it. Colour matters to extension clients more than most — the match between your hair and the hair being added is where a set either disappears or announces itself.
Partial highlights
$495
Precision colour, placed to work with extensions rather than against them.
Toning
From $150
$150 for your own hair. $250 if the extensions need toning too — common when a previous set has gone brassy.
Keratin smoothing
From $350
Priced to your density and length. Formaldehyde-free.
Two things worth saying plainly about the colour.
The bond-building treatment is included. Not offered to you at the basin as an extra — built into the price. If your hair is being lightened it gets protected, and you shouldn't be charged separately to have that done properly.
It costs more than most, and it takes longer than most. Colouring hair that has extensions in it, or is about to, is precision work — the placement has to account for what's already there and what's coming. It is not the same job as putting highlights through a head of hair and hoping.
Toner keeps washing out for eight to twelve weeks, so if you're changing colour direction near a new install, we'll sequence it properly rather than fighting it later.

Keratin smoothing, and why extension clients want it
This one is underrated, and it solves a problem most people don't realise they have.
Extension hair behaves differently from your own. It's smoother, it dries straighter, and it holds a shape longer. So you end up styling two different textures every morning and trying to make them meet in the middle.
A smoothing treatment brings your natural hair closer to the texture of the hair sitting next to it. The two start behaving the same way, the blend gets easier, and your styling time drops — for a lot of clients that's the part that actually changes their week.
We use Liquid Keratin Professional, the salon-grade system — a different formula from the at-home version of the same brand. It's formaldehyde-free, and it isn't a Brazilian blowout.
From $350, priced case by case against your density and length.

Why the consultation comes first
Every install starts with a complimentary consultation, and it isn't a formality. It's where the actual decisions get made.
- The condition of your hair and scalp, honestly assessed
- What you want — length, volume, colour
- Which method your hair can carry, and why
- What upkeep looks like, and what it costs, before you commit
You leave with a plan and a number. If extensions aren't right for you yet, you'll hear that too.

The hair itself
Great Lengths, Bellami, Philocaly and GBB — ethically sourced, and chosen per client rather than per salon deal. Colour is matched at the ends, in daylight, wet and dry, because that's where a match is won or lost.
Twelve years in this studio, seventeen certifications across every major extension brand, and I still work behind the chair with my own clients every week.
Questions people actually ask
Will extensions damage my natural hair?
Badly fitted ones will. Too much weight, bonds set too tight, or left in past the move-up date, and yes — you'll see breakage at the attachment points. Fitted to the right weight and maintained on schedule, no. Most of the repair work I do is fixing installs that ignored the first part.
Will they look fake?
Not if the colour is matched properly and the weight is right. Fake usually means one flat tone against multi-tonal natural hair, or too much hair for the head it's on. Both are avoidable.
How does the pricing work?
The install is quoted as one number at your consultation, based on the method and how much hair it takes. Maintenance is separate and scheduled — you'll know that rhythm before you start, not after.
How long do they last?
The hair itself lasts a long time if you look after it. What's on a schedule is the attachment — it grows out with your hair and needs moving up. We'll set that interval at your consultation based on your growth and your method.
